Just this week I was let out of class a few minutes early and happened to catch a beautiful sunset on my way home. Although the picture came out a bit blurry, it’s just a reminder that sometimes it’s the little things in life that are most enjoyable.
This week’s Snapshot Challenge happens to fall on Valentine’s Day, a day of the year set aside to express one’s love to his or her significant other, or in some cases, to his or her mistress (just kidding, don’t take that as a sign of encouragement if that pertains to you). I wanted to tie this concept in with my Snapshot Challenge because we shouldn’t just set one day aside out of the year to express our love to those who are important to us. Likewise, we often try to get away and see the world with hopes of coming across nature’s beauty, when in actuality, it consistently surrounds us. I went outside today and took this picture right before the sun began to set. Remember that everyday should be a Valentine’s Day and a day to express our love to those who are important to us. Similarly, if we open our eyes to what’s in front of us, we can find beauty surrounding us wherever we may happen to be.
